A Sweet Surprise
Alright, here’s a slice of sweetness from my world – a tale of my eldest, the surprise-snack maestro. This kiddo, sensing when Mom’s having a tough day, always pulls out the snack artillery to brighten things up. Last night, buried in work, he pops up and asks if I want a snack. ‘I’m good,’ I say, ‘you go ahead if you’re hungry.’
Fast forward a bit, and he’s back, but not just with a snack – with a pink plate loaded with goodies. Can you guess what he crafted? A masterpiece that would make Picasso proud – a face. My face, to be exact! Strawberry cookies as my eyes, a brownie as my nose, and my mouth brought to life in snack form.
His charm strikes again, and I’m grinning ear to ear. Sometimes I pause and think, how lucky am I to work from home, soaking in every moment of my kids growing up? Last night was one of those moments – hugging them, enjoying their creative flair, and feeling grateful for this unique work-at-home privilege.
So, shoutout to my little hero shark – you make snack time an art, and Mom couldn’t be prouder. Love you, anak!
